Reviews of Babyletto’s Best-selling cribs

Babyletto is well-known for its modern look, with a touch of retro style. Their cribs have an open design, which makes them look nicely either placed against the wall or in the center of the nursery.

Another distinctive Babyletto’s feature is a touch of European style. A lot of Babyletto cribs, like their best-selling Hudson or Lolly and Scoot, have a spindle, not slated design. That makes them even more sophisticated and gentle.

Of course, you can get a slated designed Babyletto crib too. In that case, Babyletto Modo, Mercer, or Maki are your best choice. While Babyletto Modo represents a classic 3-in-1 convertible crib, Maki and Mercer offer little more.

Mercer is a 3-in-1 convertible crib with a big drawer underneath the crib. And Maki is one of the best, if not the best full-size folding cribs on the market. Of course, it is not just a folding crib, as it stands on removable caster wheels, which make it portable too. And the fact that it is foldable does not prevent Maki from being convertible, as it can even transit into a toddler bed.

And if you want a totally unique looking crib, look at Babyletto Harlow 3-in-1 convertible crib! In my opinion, it’s the best acrylic crib on the market! First of all, it is not all-acrylic, but it poses a perfect bland of recyclable acrylic and natural wood. And second, it is not so expensive as other acrylic cribs on the market.

Don’t have enough space for a full-size Babyletto crib? Then you can pick an Origami, which is a smart, safe, and stylish alternative to a bassinet.

Our Reviews of the best selling Babyletto cribs

Babyletto Hudson 3-in-1 convertible crib Review

Babyletto Hudson 3-in-1 convertible crib with toddler bed conversion kit

Hudson is the best-selling crib from Babyletto. It is a beautiful 3-in-1 convertible crib that converts into a toddler bed and daybed.

What makes the Hudson special is the ability to convert into a fourth bed. With an additional purchase of a Junior conversion kit, you can convert the Hudson into a junior bed.

Babyletto Lolly 3-in-1 convertible crib Review

Babyletto Lolly's convertibility Review

Babyletto Lolly is very similar to the Hudson! The difference between them is minor. Babyletto Lolly is also a 3-in-1 convertible crib, which converts into the same beds as Hudson.

Lolly is available in fewer color combinations from Hudson, and it is not compatible with a Junior conversion kit.

It is a popular crib, but less than Hudson. You can find all their differences in our article Babyletto Hudson vs. Lolly.

What do we like:

  1. it grows with your child
  2. natural materials and non-toxic paint
  3. modern design
  4. a toddler safety guardrail is included in the price
  5. 4 levels of adjustable mattress support
  6. meets and exceeds all safety standards
  7. non-toxic finish
  8. a sturdy crib
  9. low profile, perfect for short moms

Babyletto Scoot 3-in-1 convertible crib Review

Babyletto Scott becomes more and more popular in the last year. Regards to the functionality, it doesn’t differ much from Hudson and Lolly. Its design is not so much different from them either.

But it is a little cheaper from Hudson and Lolly, and it is the only convertible crib besides Hudson that is compatible with a Junior conversion kit

What do we like:

  1. grows with your child
  2. toddler safety guardrail is included
  3. the option of the fourth conversion
  4. beautiful design
  5. modern look
  6. GREENGUARD Gold Certified
  7. non-toxic finish, available in multiple colors

Babyletto Mercer 3-in-1 convertible crib with under-crib drawer Review

Babyletto Mercer's convertibility Review

Mercer is the same as all Babyletto’s cribs I had listed so far a 3-in-1 convertible crib. While it also converts into a toddler bed and daybed, it offers extra storage space under the crib too.

Under the crib is a big storage drawer. For better transparency is the drawer further divided into two parts.

Another thing that differs Mercer from the other three convertible cribs is all slated design.

We all know that additional storage space sooner or later becomes very handy. If you are short of space, this one is worthy of your consideration!

What do we like:

  1. very functional crib
  2. it grows with your child
  3. big under-crib drawer
  4. toddler bed conversion kit is included in the price
  5. transitions into bigger beds are quick and easy
  6. Eco-conscious design
  7. a very durable crib
  8. adjustable mattress support
  9. one of the cheapest Babyletto’s crib
  10. GREENGUARD Gold certified
  11. meets and exceeds all safety standards

Babyletto Maki full-size folding crib Review

Babyletto Maki Full-Size Portable Folding Crib with Toddler Bed Conversion Kit

While there is a lot of mini folding cribs, you can pick only among a few full-size models. And Babyletto Maki is, in our opinion, the best full-size folding crib on the market.

We had found only two cribs that can compete with the Maki. Those two cribs are Delta Children’s full-size folding crib and DaVinci Jenny Lind 3-in-1 convertible crib. But they are not as good as the Maki.

Babyletto Maki has everything, it is foldable, on caster wheels, and convertible. Delta Children’s crib has wheels and folds up, but it doesn’t convert. Jenny Lind is convertible and on wheels, but it doesn’t fold up.

What do we like:

  1. it grows with your child
  2. modern, open design
  3. portable
  4. standard, full-size crib
  5. good folding mechanism
  6. removable caster wheels
  7. adjustable mattress support
  8. meets and exceeds all safety standards
  9. GREENGUARD Gold certified

Babyletto Harlow acrylic crib Review

Babyletto Harlow 3-in-1 convertible crib

Babyletto Harlow is a unique looking 3-in-1 convertible crib. The front side of the crib is made of acrylic slats. That gives you a clear and unobstructed view of your baby in the crib.

The Babyletto Harlow is, in my opinion, the best acrylic crib on the market. First of all, it is not an all-acrylic crib. Instead of that, it has a perfect blend of natural wood and acrylic. And second, it is once, or even two times cheaper from other acrylic cribs.

What do we like:

  1. it is a unique looking crib
  2. it gives you an unobstructed view on your baby
  3. Harlow grows with your child
  4. the toddler bed safety guardrail is included in the price
  5. Babyletto Harlow has an ultra-modern design
  6. it is Eco-friendly (sustainable wood and recyclable acrylic)
  7. 4 adjustable mattress positions
  8. Harlow meets and exceeds all required safety standards
  9. it is cheaper from other acrylic cribs
  10. GREENGUARD Gold certified

Babyletto Modo 3-in-1 convertible crib Review

Babyletto Modo's convertibility Review

Babyletto Modo is more and more popular among young parents. It has the same features to other Babyletto’s 3-in-1 convertible cribs, for a better price. For instance, it is a $100 cheaper form Babyletto Hudson.

Modo’s design is also a little different. Instead of a typical Babyletto’s spindles, Modo has an all-slated design.

Babyletto Modo is available in a wide selection of different colors, has strong feet, and included toddler safety guardrail.

What do we like:

  1. it grows with your child
  2. everything for the conversions is included
  3. strong feet
  4. modern, sleek design

Babyletto Origami mini crib Review

Babyletto Origami Mini Portable Crib with Wheels

A mini crib is perfect for urban living or alternative care spaces, like grandmom’s house. It is also a safer alternative for the bassinet.

Yes, your baby will outgrow it sooner than full-size cribs, but it will outlast a bassinet, providing a safe sleeping environment for your growing baby, from newborn to beyond 18 months.

Babyletto Origami is a mini crib on wheels, which is also foldable. The ability to fold it quick and small is very convenient, especially for grandparents!

What do we like:

  1. Origami meets and exceeds all safety standards
  2. easy movement throughout the home
  3. a good folding mechanism
  4. modern design
  5. available in unique colors
  6. durable and lightweight
  7. four reliable, locking casters
  8. doesn’t take a lot of space
  9. 2 levels, adjustable mattress support
  10. a safer alternative for bassinets
  11. GREENGUARD Gold certified
Babyletto Origami Mini Portable Crib with Wheels
Full Babyletto Origami mini crib Review

Babyletto is one of the leading baby crib manufacturers. Their cribs are among the best-selling cribs for the last few years! Babyletto’s cribs might look a little more expensive at first glance, but that is far from the truth for most models. The difference in the price usually appears because Babyletto includes everything in the package. If the crib converts into a toddler bed, you will get a toddler bed safety guardrail with the crib, etc.

Other brands sell conversion part separately, which not only adds up to the initial price but sometimes cause problems too. First of all, many parents don’t know they won’t get a safety guardrail with the crib. When they want to buy it later, it is sometimes out of stock, there is no matching color, etc.

Anyway, I think that having everything in the package is convenient, less time consuming, and many times cheaper too.

Babyletto crib safety review

All Babyletto cribs are safe! Their cribs meet and even exceed all ASTM International and U.S. CPSC safety standards.

Babyletto’s cribs don’t have drop sides. That is very important! Because there were many injuries and even tragically deaths, so dropping side cribs are banned since 2011! If you have an old drop-side crib, think twice if it is worth the risk.

Babyletto’s cribs are also a perfect choice for Eco-conscious parents. They are made with solid New Zealand pinewood, one of the most sustainable and renewable woods available. Even Harlow’s acrylic is recyclable!

Babyletto’s cribs are finished in a non-toxic multi-step painting and staining process. Cribs are lead and phthalate safe, with a GREENGUARD Gold certification. GREENGUARD Gold certificate ensures that cribs don’t pollute the indoor air. Cribs are screened for over 10,000 chemicals and VOCs, and as such, meet the rigorous chemical emissions standards of UL, a global independent safety science company.

All measurements correspond to those set by the government, so any crib mattress should fit into any Babyletto crib. Of course, I am talking about full-size cribs and standard size baby crib mattresses. You have to pick a mini crib mattress for the Origami!
