Best full-size folding cribs on wheels need little more than just a good folding mechanism and wheels that slides smooth. Of course these two features have to be flawless, but best models offer additional features as well.
Full-size folding cribs on wheels are great choice for a secondary crib. Maybe for a grandparents or caregivers house, or if you need a crib only for a few days on the week. But you can use it as a first and only crib for your baby, as it is as safe as any other crib.
With a folding mechanism, you can fold it up and store it until another use. The process is quick and easy, as you don’t need to disassemble the whole crib.
You can jump on the reviews:
Except for Maki by Babyletto, which we described below, foldable cribs can’t convert into bigger beds. Maki is slightly different from other full-size folding baby cribs, as you can remove the wheels and convert the crib into a toddler bed. Because of its convertibility Maki certainly belongs to the best full size folding cribs on the market.
You can find a lot of wooden full-size cribs on wheels, but only few can fold up as well.
Can I use a foldable crib on wheels every day?
Of course, you can! But, you are not likely to fold up the crib every day, so ask yourself if you really need a folding mechanism. If you do, then go for it!
As I said before, that doesn’t mean you can’t use a full-size folding baby crib every day. These cribs are safe and almost as sturdy as other stationary cribs. Just ask yourself what you expect from the crib, before the purchase. If you only want to move the crib from room to room, you might consider buying a baby crib on wheels that doesn’t fold up. Why? Because you might like the other features these models have. For instance, your child can even use them as a lifetime bed.
Facts about full-size folding baby cribs
Because of a folding mechanism, you can easily store them without any disassembly.
Cribs have wheels for easy moving around the house.
We are talking about standard full-size cribs here. Read the dimension of folding crib you pick carefully! There is a lot of mini portable folding cribs whit wheels on the market. Don’t get me wrong that’s great! They are a convenient choice for small spaces. I just don’t want you to make a mistake and order a crib with the wrong dimensions.
Why would you decide for the full-size folding crib?
You intend to move the crib from room to room. (This is very convenient if your baby sleeps in her own room, but you want to keep her close if she is sick.)
You want to make your life easier. With the ability to move the crib around, you can move it when you vacuum or change the sheets.
As it folds down, it’s a perfect choice for a grandparent’s or caregivers house. It won’t take much space, and you can set it up in a moment.
What about safety?
First of all, portable cribs are not as sturdy as standard convertible or nonconvertible cribs. If someone claims this, he is lying. Simply they can’t be, because of a folding mechanism and wheels. But!!! If you lock the wheels, when you stop moving the crib around, the crib will be as safe as any other crib.
Don’t forget to lock the wheels on the portable folding baby crib, when your baby sleeps in it!
If the model you like doesn’t have locks on the wheels, don’t overthink, just don’t buy it. There is a lot of beautiful and most important, safe foldable cribs with locks on the wheels you can get.

Description and specifications of a Maki crib
Maki is a full-size version of a popular Babyletto Origami mini crib. It has clean, geometric lines, with slats all around the crib. The crib is made from sustainable New Zealand pine wood and meets or even exceed all ASTM International and US CPSC Safety Standards.
Babyletto uses only non-toxic finishes and you can get the Maki portable crib in four different colors: black, white, gray and ash. There are no classic wooden colors, like cherry or espresso for the Maki crib. Maybe this is a small disadvantage, but in my opinion, Babyletto deliberately chose only those colors, as they fit perfectly with the modern design.
